Perhaps my opinion contains a hint of bias for Harry Potter has been such an essential part of my childhood but I found the movie pretty decent and far and away an improvement from the snorefest that was the Half-Blood Prince!
While the Goblet of Fire still stands as my favourite of the series, DH Part I was good in it's own rights. For one filming locations/sets were amazing and action scenes, sparse as they were, were well done (how anyone can possibly hate people FLYING and FIGHTING in the air on frickin' BROOMSTICKS is beyond me!)
I really liked how everyone was all grown up and more mature! They've all developed into very fine actors and speaking of fine, did you see Emma "fucking gorgeous" Watson?! I don't know if I speak for the rest of the male population here but damn she's pretty!
Drooling and obsessing aside, I liked how the movie really took it's time to build up everything, which probably leads it to the major reason why people might not like it: it's boring and draggy.
However, one needs only to remind himself that this is ultimately just the prelude that builds up to the climatic ending of the series and in this regard I think it has done admirably.
All said and done, I'm pretty pumped for DH II! I'll sure as hell go and catch it on release next year no matter my studying obligations and if it isn't going to be the mindblowingly spectacular movie that Part I has hyped it up to be, then well fuck me.

Nah just kidding. It'll still have Emma Watson!
*insert generic and sleazy "enter her Chamber of Secrets" joke*
Till next time!
